Do you like to laugh? Then the books on this list are sure to be a hit with you. If you are looking for laugh out loud funny book, you should pick up Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. Even adults can find humor in poor Greg's life as a middle school wimpy kid. Kids can relate to Greg's relationships with his siblings, parents and of course friends. The first two Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are also major motion pictures.

Andrew Clements has two books on the list with Frindle and The Report Card. Both books are about a funny situation at school that all kids can relate to. In Frindle, the main character makes up the word Frindle and then has a few of his friends start to use it to see how long it takes for the word to catch on at school.

Gordon Korman is also known for humorous books. No More Dead Dogs is a must read and so is Schooled. In No More Dead Dogs you'll see what happens when a student stands up for his true feelings about a book in his book report. In Schooled you'll meet a kid who is homeschooled until Middle School and then his circumstances change so he has to go to a public school. It is an interesting story of how he adjusts.
