Every little girl dreams of being a princess, right? These princess novels are sure to be a big hit with the girls. Meg Cabot has a very popular series of books called The Princess Diaries. Anne Hathaway starred in the Disney Movie that has helped to make these books even more popular. In the book a small town suburban girl learns that she is princess to a small country. She is a typical fifteen year old with bad hair, posture, manners, etc. she has to learn how to be a princess. The books are written in a diary format so you get to read about her thoughts of this happening to her.

Another princess book series of note is Once Upon a Marigold and Twice Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris. As the cover describes, these books "part comedy, part love story, part everything but the kitchen sink". The main character Chris runs away from home at an early age and is raised by a troll. As he grows up he can watch Princess Marigold from a distance and begins to court her through p-mail which Pigeon mail - messages carried by pigeons. Unlike her sisters, Marigold is not your typical princess. Read these books to find out what happens.
