If you like comic books then Graphic Novels are for you. You will recognize some of the titles above from shows on Television like Amulet, Yugi oh!, and the Simpsons. Some of the other series are based on anime which is Japanese television and movie animation.

The Bone Series Graphic Novels by Jeff Smith is the story of the bone cousins (Fone Bone, Phony Bone, and Smiley Bone) when they leave their home in Boneville and go on an epic adventure. The books were previously comics that were first released in 1991. There are nine total volumes in the bone series.

The Lunch Lady graphic novels by Jarrett J. Krosoczka are hilarious stories of what a lunch lady does when she is not serving up school lunches to students. This Lunch Lady retreats to her secret lair where she fights crime. Lunch lady fights crime with her high tech kitchen gadgets like the lunch tray laptop and works with her assistant Betty whose ultimate weapon is a hairnet. As a school librarian myself, I especially appreciate the title in the series called Lunch Lady and the League of Librarians. This League of Librarians are out to destroy all video games and Lunch Lady is there to try and stop them.
