Reading adventure books allows you to travel to fun and exciting places just by turning some pages. Whether you want to read a classic like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, The Box Car Children Series, or The Borrowers, these adventure novels have exciting turns at every page.

Some of the newer titles on the list are from author Kate DiCamillo. DiCamillo is probably best known for her book Because of Winn Dixie, which was a very popular book that was also a very popular movie. If you liked Because of Winn Dixie, make sure to check a personal favorite of mine, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. In this story you get to follow the journeys and adventures of a China Rabbit named Edward Tulane as he goes from owner to owner and adventure to adventure. Will he ever be reunited with his first owner and love Abilene? Read the book to find out.

Boys will especially like the series The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan. Based in European Medieval Times, there are currently ten books in the series. Flanagan originally thought of these stories to interest his own son in reading.
