Warrior Series

The Warriors Series by Erin Hunter is a very popular Kids Book Series. There are currently four different series and well over twenty books about the Warrior cats and their world. For kids that like manga there is a full manga series as well.

Plotline

The story follows four clans of cats that live in the forest. These clans are organized clans with leaders, deputies, and warriors. The clans are ThunderClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and RiverClan. The original series tells the story of an ordinary house cat named Rusty. Rusty ends up leaving his home and joining ThunderClan. He gets the new name FirePaw. Throughout the series we see how FirePaw grows from a timid pet kitten into a fearsome warrior.

The rest of the series continue to follow the clans as well as Rusty's children and grandchildren. The clans must deal with each other, animal enemies such as dogs, and humans. There is much intrigue, action, and suspense in the stories. They are enjoyable to read and children who like animal adventure stories will love this series.

Major Characters

• Rusty (Firestar) - Rusty is the main character in the original series. He starts out as a pet kitten, but joins the ThunderClan and becomes one of their most valiant leaders. He is also known as FirePaw, when he first joined ThunderClan, and Fireheart, when he became a warrior.
• Bluestar - Original leader of the ThunderClan. Invited Rusty to join ThunderClan.
• Graystripe - Rusty's best friend. Although Graystripe is a fierce warrior, he's also friendly and very funny.
• Brambleclaw - Firestar's apprentice, Brambleclaw becomes a major character in the second series.
• Squirrelflight - Firestar's daughter, she is a major character in the second series where she ends up marrying Brambleclaw.
• Leafpaw - Firestar's daughter, she can talk telepathically to her sister Squirrelflight.
• Jaypaw - A blind medicine cat who is a major character in the third series.
• Lionblaze - a great warrior cat, brother to Jaypaw.
