The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader set to open December 10, 2010

The third movie from the popular C.S. Lewis series, The Chronicles of Narnia, is coming to theaters on December 10, 2010. It's entitled Voyage of the Dawn Treader and takes place a few years later. Of the four Penvensie children, only the two youngest, Lucy and Edmund, travel to Narnia this time. Peter and Susan are now too old to travel there. However, a new character is introduced, Eustace Scrubb, Edmund and Lucy's cousin.

In this chapter of the Chronicles of Narnia, the children join in with Prince Caspian once again. This time they go on a voyage to the end of the world aboard the ship The Dawn Treader. They encounter all sorts of adventures, islands, people, and monsters along the way.

The same actors from the previous movies play the main characters. Ben Barnes returns as Prince Caspian, Georgie Henley as Lucy, and Skandar Keynes as Edmund. Will Poulter is introduced as Eustace Scrubb. There are other returning characters such as Reepicheep, the valiant sword fighting mouse, and the evil White Witch. The movie was primarily filmed in Australia and is being produced by Fox and Walden Media.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader looks to be a fun and exciting family movie. It's rated PG for some sequences of fantasy action and frightening images, so parents should be aware as the movie may not be for younger kids.
