About the movie:

Yogi Bear and Boo Boo are happily living in Jellystone Park when they find out that the Mayor is going to sell the land and let loggers chop down the trees. They can't let this happen, so they team up with a documentary filmmaker, Rachel, and Ranger Smith to try and stop the mayor.

The movie has a lot of the typical fun antics of the bears, and of course picnic baskets, that you will remember from the TV cartoon show. While Yogi Bear and Boo Boo are animated characters (voiced by Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake), the rest of the characters are real people. The majority of the filming was done in New Zealand.

The movie has outstanding animation and is fun with some good action. We would have given it a 4 rating for the entertainment value, but the message or lesson to kids is pretty lame, so we gave it an overall 3 rating. Yogi has very few redeeming character traits in this film and never seems to learn the lesson that stealing is wrong.
