About the movie:
This movie is based on the children's books by William Joyce called The Guardians of Childhood. It is a Dreamworks Animation movie, the same people that made the films Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and Megamind. There are several big movie stars who lend their voices to the film including Hugh Jackman (X-Men), Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), and Jude Law (Cold Mountain).
The central character in the movie is Pitch, who is also known as Jack Frost. When the Nightmare King threatens to darken the entire world, Pitch is asked to help the Guardians stop him. The guardians are superheroes from holidays and other traditions including Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman.
