Wii Fit exercise Game package

Wii Fit

A game designed to give you exercise. Can this be true? Well that's what Nintendo has tried to do with the game Wii Fit. As Nintedo describes it, "Wii Fit combines fun and fitness in one product. It can change how you exercise, how you balance, and even how you move". Let's take a closer look and see how Wii Fit works.

Wii Balance Board

Wii Fit uses both a software game that runs on the Wii console and the Wii Balance Board. The Wii Balance board is used in the game to determine all sorts of stuff from your weight, center of balance, body mass index and more. This way the game can see how well you are doing on an exercise and hard you are working. The Balance board takes 4 AA batteries and works best on a hard surface. It can also be used for other games in the future.

Wii Fit has around 40 total games or activities. The game divides these up into 4 different categories including yoga, balance games, strength training, and aerobics. Wii Fit also does a more generic body test that will gauge your bodies overall performance. The body test checks your balance, weight, body control, and will give you your Wii Fit age.

Yoga - The yoga section of Wii Fit has several poses you can practice. These include the tree pose, half-moon pose, warrior pose, and deep breathing. There is an instructor that helps you learn how to hold the poses. Also, more poses or games are supposed to be added later.

Balance Games - The balance games are some of the most fun activities in Wii Fit. They include games like heading a soccer ball, skiing a slalom course, ski jumping, and table tilt. Table tilt can be a lot of fun where you try to get adjust your balance to get a ball in the hole while not letting it fall off a platform.

Strength Training - This is the portion of Wii Fit where you can do a workout that focuses on building muscles and strength. Exercises include push ups, leg lifts, lunges, and torso twists.

Aerobics - Aerobics may be the first thing you think of when you think of a fitness or exercise game like Wii Fit. Aerobics works on your endurance, wind, and heart. Some aerobics workouts include running, hula hoop, and stepping. Track your fitness with Wii Fit
The game also has ways to keep track of your workouts with Wii credits and an activity log. Combining all of the Wii Fit activities can give you a pretty good and well-rounded workout and keep things fun.
