Movie and DVD Review

Walt Disney's Mulan (G) is a wonderful animated film. The story is about a young Chinese girl named Mulan who doesn't quite fit in to her tradition bound society. When Mulan's father is called up to war to battle the Hun's. Mulan goes to battle in his place. Mulan's side-kick is a dragon played by Eddie Murphy who steals the show with his wisecracking humor.

I personally like the strong female character that Mulan represents in contrast to the usual Disney Princess. There are some scenes of peril involving the Hun leader who can be scary to a young viewer.

I would recommend Mulan for family viewing.
