Some of the best movies are based on books. This is a list of kid's movies made from some of our favorite kid's books. It seems that certain writer's books, just make good movies. Roald Dahl, for instance, wrote the books behind Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, and the Fantastic Mr. Fox. E.B. White wrote Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little. Of course perhaps the most famous books made into movies are the Harry Potter Series of books. They have made a number of movies all of which have been huge box office smashes.

Some of our favorite movies made from kid's books lately include Ramona and Beezus from the popular Beverly Cleary series and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (the second movie, Rodrick Rules came out recently) by Jeff Kinney.

We hope you enjoy these movies. Of course, you should also try reading the books as they can sometimes be even better. Kids please keep in mind that many of these are not rated G. Check with your parents before you watch a rated PG movie.
