Cheaper by the Dozen 2
Movie and DVD Review

Rating: PG

"Cheaper by the Dozen 2 is the 2005 sequel to the popular Cheaper by the Dozen movie from 2003. The entire cast (minus Ashton Kutcher) is back for this worthwhile movie. Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt are the parents to 12 children. When Hilarie Duff's character graduates from High School, Martin realizes that they need a big family vacation at the lake to be together before Duff leaves for New York."

"The crazy family antics of a family of 12 are played down, it is more a movie about an old rivalry between Martin's character and Eugene Levy. Levy has become a successful land owner at the lake and has a brood of over achieving children. While not as enjoyable as the first Cheaper by the Dozen, Martin is very entertaining with his physical comedy."

"The PG rating is for some crude humor and mild language, which of course in my opinion could have been left out entirely. My 6 and 9 year old enjoyed the immature competitiveness between Martin and Levy. Ashton Kutcher although funny in the first movie, was not missed. I enjoyed the fact that instead of having a live-in boyfriend the oldest daughter was now married and expecting her first child."

I would recommend Cheaper by the Dozen 2 for family viewing.
