"Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast (G) is a classic animated film that everyone must see. The story is of a young girl Belle and her father the eccentric inventor. Belle is more interested in books than the local hunk Gaston. When Belle's father gets lost in the forest, he stumbles upon the castle of the Beast. Belle searches for her father and agrees to stay with the Beast if her father is let go."

"The Beast, a former Prince, lives in an enchanted castle where the furniture is alive. A spell was cast upon him and his castle. He must find love to break the spell. The rest of the story is about how Belle and the Beast grow their relationship and also how Gaston tries to ruin it."

The musical numbers from this film are Academy Award nominated. And the picture was also nominated for Best Picture.

I would highly recommend Beauty and the Beast for Family viewing.
