Kids News Back to Kids News July 22, 2008 Miley Cyrus to Star in Disney Animated Movie Bolt Miley Cyrus, star of the Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana, is set to play a major role in a new animated movie by Disney. The movie is called "Bolt" and is about a famous Hollywood dog by the same name. Miley will be the voice for Penny, Bolt's human friend in the movie. The voice for Bolt will be played by John Travolta. Other stars slated to lend their voice to the movie include Nicole Kidman, Woody Harrelson, Thomas Haden Church, and Bernie Mac. In the movie, apparently Bolt accidentally gets sent to New York City and adventures ensue where Bolt learns what it takes to be a real hero versus just a Hollywood movie hero. Bolt is a white German Shepard who makes some animal friends along his journey including a cat called Mr. Mittens and a hamster. The movie comes from the same creator who brought us Lilo & Stitch and will be directed by Chris Williams and Byron Howard. The current release date for movie theatres is November 26, 2008. It was previously titled American Dog. We don't know yet if Miley Cyrus will lend her singing voice to the movie. Although it's hard to believe that a movie with Miley Cyrus in it wouldn't have her singing something, at least a song or two for the soundtrack. Back to Kids News
